In spite of its war-time past, treasures abound in Warsaw. The Palace of Arts and Culture is the tallest building in Poland with more than 3000 rooms, spread over 42 floors. The Kampinoski Park with abundant wildlife and inland sand dunes is the biggest park in Warsaw. Take a stroll at Zelazowa Wola, Frederic Chopin’s birthplace.
The museum is devoted to his life and works. Other places of interest are Nepokalanow (the Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary), Nieborow Palace, and the Mazovian medieval village of Brochow. Don’t miss Torun, a UNESCO list of World Heritage Site, the birthplace of Copernicus.
