Transportations in our Vienna travel guide
It’s easy to travel around Vienna. If you live near the city center, you can take short trips by public transport or by foot. For your trips, the city has an extensive tram and bus network--with the tram network (designed by Porsche) as the third largest in the world.
Public transport is available during off-peak hours in areas where it’s mostly populated. More than half of the people in Vienna use the public transport on a daily basis, owing to its convenience, safety and reliability. No worries even at night because there are Nightline buses on the main routes every half hour.
