Sports and leisure in our Vienna travel guide

Vienna is one of the world’s greenest cities and it’s no wonder that it is home to many parks and beautiful landscapes. An 18th century park stands on the Imperial Schonbrunn grounds, housing the world’s oldest zoo (founded 1752). A 21.1 km long artificial island, the Donauinsel, has also been dedicated to leisure activities such as family gatherings and swimming.

The city is also host to the Vienna City Marathon, enjoining 10,000 participants yearly from around the globe. Ice Hockey, Volleyball, and most of all, Football are highly-regarded sports. In 2008, Vienna will take part and host the Euro 2008 Football Championship.

Note: This is just a little summary about the city Vienna and all the Sports and leisure you can find there.
