There are several international carriers that serve as a means of transport to Rio de Janeiro and all flights land in the Aeroporto Internacional Antônio Carlos Jobim, which is also known as Galeão. This airport is just near the beach area and most of the city’s hotels; travel time would take about 45 minutes only.
From the airport, there are several means of transport to all parts of Rio de Janeiro. The three reliable taxi firms to take are Cootramo, Coopertramo and Transcoopass. But if you prefer a more economical means of transport, you can always take the public bus.
