Oslo is the capital city of Norway. The city is one of the most populous cities of Norway. The whole region is extremely cool and the temperatures remain below freezing in the winter months. The winters are extremely cold in Norway and it is not feasible for the tourists to stay in Oslo in the winter months. Many visitors, however, prefer visiting snow covered Oslo as the city looks extremely beautiful while snow covered. It is however advised that you should visit the city in summers. The temperatures in summer are cool to mild. It is never very hot in Oslo.

There are two airports nearby which connect it with the other parts of the world. One of the airports is located with in the city while the other is located at a distance around two hours drive from the city. Oslo Airport, Gardermoen is more important. The other one is called as Sandefjord Airport, Torp. Both these airports have enough capacity to cater to the needs of the city.
Ferry from Copenhagen, Gothenburg and London
Oslo is well connected to the neighboring areas through water ways as well. There are daily ferry routes to Copenhagen and few other cities located at few hours distance by water ways. The trains in Oslo are also very good quality. While staying at Oslo you can use the public transport which is well maintained.
