Events and happenings in our Beijing travel guide
Beijing is host to many activities and events that are sure to interest newcomers. To start off the year, you could participate in the Beijing Longqing Gorge Ice and Snow Festival which lasts from January 15 to February 29.
Also observed from January to February is the Beijing Spring Festival (exact dates varying from year to year according to the lunar calendar.) From October to November, you might listen to various pieces of great music as performed in different Beijing venues. Around this time as well, the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated by Chinese to mark the autumn harvest in China.
