Of the several places that you can visit in Barcelona, two locations stand out because of their unusual history and architecture. First is the Magic Fountain, made by Carles Buigas in 1929 on the Universal Exhibition grounds, which shows water changing its shape intermittently as it flows from several smaller fountains within.
A main fountain is placed on the top of a platform, using the Palua Nacional as backdrop. The second is the Barcelona Cathedral, whose original was destroyed in 925 by Al-Mansur. It was then started to be rebuilt in 1046 by Bishop Guislabert and construction has finally been completed at the end of the 19th century.
