You may also opt to go to a self-catering apartment or a cheap hotel or hostel if you are on a very tight budget.
It is always best to visit Amsterdam with confirmed accommodations since it is quite difficult to get one especially during the tourist season. You also have the option of staying at a holiday apartment or a youth hostel.
